approach
Staff Media manages online or blended learning projects following a structured Instructional Systems Design (ISD) model.
The ISD model followed by Staff Media is the ADDIE model. It includes five phases:
Analysis
The analysis phase enables to determine the "gaps" between the desired outcomes or behaviours, and the audience's existing knowledge and skills. It is usually carried out through a series of interviews or through the distribution of questionnaires. When project constraints do not allow to develop a complete needs assessment, topic analysis is always followed in cooperation with Subject Matter Experts.
Design
Learning objectives, delivery and learning strategies are determined in this phase. E-learning solutions are adapted to each project characteristics and constraints and based on the learning objectives. The design phase is fundamental for a project's success. It also facilitates the organization of development activities.
Development
In this phase storyboards of the courses are developed first. Storyboards are in PowerPoint format so that to present a product as close as possible to the final one. The storyboard shows the screen layout (graphics and text). The notes section contains the text of the voice overs and any additional information for the development of the course. Furthermore, all audio, video, and courseware materials are collected or created and assembled in the final product. Betatesting always closes this phase.
Implementation
During implementation, developed materials are delivered to course users through our LMS (LearnExperience) or the client's LMS. Staff Media can provide a specialized team of online tutors expert in management of online learning processes.
Evaluation
The evaluation phase measures users reaction, determines the effectiveness and quality of training, and is designed to fine-tune the program. Evaluation questionnaires are used to collect information about users satisfaction on the courses. Tests and evaluation activities are designed and developed to measure users retention and understanding of the content.
